Only pull the nozzle when the app prompts you to do so
Only continue as soon as you receive the payment confirmation in the ryd app
Your first ryd? Enter one or more payment methods before your first refueling process.
Select your pump number and follow the instructions in the app.
At some petrol stations, you must select and reserve the maximum amount of fuel before filling up.
Only start the refueling process as soon as the app prompts you to do so.
Please do not pull the nozzle beforehand!
The refueling process ends when the nozzle is inserted.
Select your payment method and confirm the payment (if the maximum amount has been reserved in advance, the amount will be debited automatically).
After receiving the payment confirmation in the app, you can continue.
At so-called pre-pay petrol stations (such as Aral, Esso and Pinoil), the maximum fuel amount is selected and reserved before the refueling process.
Only the amount actually filled up is charged.
Pre-pay filling stations are the standard in most countries around the world.
By paying in advance, petrol stations reduce the risk of fuel fraud and drivers have full cost control.
The opposite (better known in this country) is called post-pay.
Here you fill up first and pay afterwards.
Once you have selected the pump number, simply follow the instructions in the app.
It will guide you through all the steps of the respective process.
No, this process is determined by the gas station’s cash register system and cannot be selected.
No, this is only a pre-authorization, only the amount actually filled up will be debited.
For example, if you select a maximum fuel amount of 150 euros and fill up for 100 euros, only 100 euros will be finally debited.

Even if it is unfamiliar in Germany, Pre-Pay is guaranteed to be safe.
At pre-pay gas stations, the fuel supply stops automatically shortly before the selected maximum amount is reached.
The final debited amount is then either exactly at or a few cents below the selected amount.
Whether Berlin, Hamburg, Munich or Kleinvorhinterhausen, ryd is available at every 3rd petrol station in Germany.
With ryd you can pay conveniently via app at over 145 petrol station brands (including Aral, Allguth, Esso, HEM).
